Not far from my house is the J.C. Raulston Arboretum. These shots were from my first photographic venture there. I'm not sure if these are koi, or just goldfish. I don't know so much about fish.i want to call you kimmy edible latex panties girls rubber leather licking slick wet lesbian asian amateur milf horny housewives sucking jenna jamison brittany andrews mother theresa eating cock

The rings in the water where one of the fish is sucking air (or whatever) are a nice catch.

@rmgales: These shots date back well before my digital conversion, and I'm pretty cure Canon quit making the model I was using when I took these shots. In any case, unless you're looking for a 35mm knowing that I shot these two on a Rebel X-S probably wouldn't help you much. The Rebel XTi is an impressive entry level dSLR (that's what Smarmoofus uses to magnificent effect) or if you're in the market for something a bit spendier, I can recommend the Canon EOS 30D -- which is my current body. Choosing your first one is a pretty critical decision. Because in all likelihood, once you've hitched your wagon to a manufacturer's star you're probably going to stay with them indefinitely. Nobody wants to start over again once they've accumulated a few lenses and accessories, and Canon doesn't fit Nikon and vice versa. If you can borrow one of each of the major manufacturers' cameras that would be the ideal way to decide which suits you best. Online research will aid your decision making too -- a lot! But honestly, Canon and Nikon have pretty much broken away from the rest of the field, and both of them are so good that you can't really go wrong with either one. There are subtle differences in features and capabilities, but most people choose to stay with what they started with. It's familiar and doesn't require starting from scratch in terms of other gear.

@Yen: Thanks! I took a peek at yours too, nice work!
@Indrani: I can't take credit for the clarity of the water, but these are my two favorite shots from that excursion.
@etteY ,Ryanne, and jams: Basic black: there's a reason it's a classic. Dark backgrounds often lend themselves to great contrast shots. That's one of the reasons I use black as the background color for my template (but only one of the reasons).
@Pretty Life: If you like the pniky fish today, you're gonna love what's coming up tomorrow!
@Napaboaniya and Sue: It was just one of those times when color, ligth, compositoin and contrast all came together right in front o fme... and I actually had a camera to capture it with! Serendipity baby!
@Sandy: If you're passing through Raleigh on your way home, holla and I'll take you over there. It's free and open to the public, and there's no shortage of great photo ops.
@Mona: rangeela re, hai na?
@Bob-kat: I thought I'd visited you before, but I could be mistaken. There are so many talented bloggers, I can't keep up with them all. Nice to meet another Tap fan though!
@tiff and Heidi: I think the fish were after the mosquitoes on the surface. It was getting close to sunset, so the dinner bell had certianly chimed. I thought the ripples were what made the shot. The circles of the ripples played against the lines and angles created by the fish themselves.
@Pietro: Coming from a professional I consider that high praise indeed. Thank you sir!
@Dianne: Thank you... that's exactly the effect I'd hoped for!
@Jennifer: Those are amazing shots. I'd love to be able to wake up to that view on a daily basis. Must make gettign the day started so much easier.
@jennyr: I'll do that!
@Anybody I missed... Thanks for stopping by and y'all come back anytime, we're always open!

Those are beautiful shots. I love to go to the J.C. Raulston arboretum. We're lucky in this area to have that as well as the one at UNC and Duke. Ah so many gardens, so little time. I enjoyed hearing about your subdivision in a pecan orchard. That's great. Too bad in the present though that the squirrels won't let your pears get ripe.

Beautiful shots. I love taking photos at arboretums!

Mojo said...

@Carver: I guess I wasn't paying attention, because I didn't notice you and I are neighbors until you said something about it. We'll have to compare notes sometime.

@donna: Easy girl! Too many more of those hugs and people are gonna talk!

@ellen: I really ought to make the effort to get there more often, it's only a few miles from my house and as you can see, the photo opportunities abound.
