Norman Alexander (my pup) says hello. If you have time, he is currently the star of today's post. This guy is beautiful, great eyes.

Tonka's parentage is only half known, but yeah... there's definitely a strong Labrador component involved there. He was born in my laundry room and I've had him ever since. (He'll be six this November 12th.)

In this shot he's in one of his favorite places to be: his truck. And make no mistake, I make the payments, and he lets me drive it ('cos he doesn't have thumbs) but that's Tonka's truck!

This particular day he and I were on the photo hunt at the dirt-strip airfield that got featured in Thematic Photographic a couple of weeks back.

And you might recognize the second shot as the progenitor of my new header image.

beautiful boy.

i read somewhere that they have more black dogs in animal rescues than other colors, citing the color of the dog's fur as the reason for it not getting adopted by a forever family.

i, too, am a proud owner of black dog - not a lab, just a big ol' mutt. he's a sweetie pie, and just loves to be around people who want to play with him and pet him.

He's gorgeous! The best dog I ever had was half Lab and half cocker spaniel, we think. She had human intelligence!

Ohhhhhhh.

The best dog we ever had was a black lab. He was amazing, and he died very young, and we haven't been the same since.

Love these pictures.
