Skywatch Friday #2: Crystal Blue Persuasion

Sky Watch Friday

This structure stands right behind the parking garage I park in every day. I say "structure" because I've never really been sure what it is. It's not a "building" in the usual sense of the word. And it's not part of the parking garage either. I think it's part of the heating/air conditioning system that serves buildings in the state government complex in downtown Raleigh. I know for sure that there's a monstrous condenser that you can see from the second level of the parking deck, but I don't know if there's more to it that's housed inside this "building" or if this is actually something else.
For my purposes though, it doesn't matter what's inside the building that matters. It's the striking line it creates against this field of flawless Carolina Blue. And rest assured, this isn't the last you'll see of this building -- or this sky.

That's a very blue sky, unlike ours here at the moment.

I like this. I always enjoy when great architecture makes shapes in a perfectly blue sky.

Looks much like the sky here in South Carolina this week. What a wonderful shade of blue. The building adds an interesting contrast indeed. :-)

That's a cool structure - the vertical lines and the curved top against the blue sky make a beautiful combination. Very nicely captured! (www.reluctantfarmchik.com)

What a sky color!
There's an expression where I live : 'arrondir les angles' literally 'to round off angles'. It is translated by 'to smooth the rough edges'.
That's what your composition of that Structure against your sky appeals to me. Life is so pleasant with (figurative) curved lines
