Monochrome Monday #7: Broken

"Broken"
Raleigh, NC - October 2008 (Click to embiggen)

Every morning I drive by this lot on Dawson Street near the intersection with Lane Street. I can't ever remember anything ever being here other than this crumbling wall. It surely must have been a part of something at one time or another. But my memory doesn't go back that far.

Great shot, I agree good title. It looks broken and abandoned.

You may not believe this, but I drive by it often and many is the time I've thought I ought to stop and get out the camera!! You've beaten me to it, but that's fine!

wonderful composition!

It has the quality of having been ripped rather than broken. Time torn up and thrown away.

It tells a story by itself. We just have to be a little imaginative.
Good subject. B&W is good for nostalgia.

Building, especially run down ones makes great photos. Love the angle you chose.
