Sky Watch Friday #12: O Tannenbaum

"Not-Quite-Christmas Trees"

Sky Watch Friday

It's obviously not a Christmas tree. In fact, this shot was taken in late October at the NC State Fairgrounds on the last night of the State Fair. But with the trees in the foreground, and the colors of the rockets (and lens flares), it looks rather like a Christmas tree don't you think?

Oh wow, I don't know enough to get a good firework photograph. Yours looks just about perfect. Great shot!

Awesome shot, mine always look weird because I never get a good vantage point and being short doesn't help.
I do have a new lens I will be trying out this July of 09 though, it may just help.
Merry Xmas!

Stunning shot. I shall also some day managed a good firework shot. Perhaps that day is not in the near future but nevertheless. Meanwhile I am resigned to admire shots from more accomplished photographers such as you.
