Blue Monday #15: Daytime Moon

"Daylight Moonlight"
Atlantic Beach, NC - October 2008 (Click to embiggen)

 Hosted by Smiling Sally

I've never quite worked out how the moon can appear in the daytime sky and not be full. The geometry seems all wrong to me. And yet it happens. Like it did in this mid-morning shot from Atlantic Beach last October.

So lets make this simple ... the moon has its phases and whether its day or night they dont change ... your view of it changes. Ok? Now, lets discuss the cheese the moon is made of ...

Great shot! I love when the moon makes it appearance before the sun has even set...It seems almost "magical" to me.
Enjoy your day!

I just took a moon in the day time photo last Sunday. I'll be posting it for Sky Watch Friday.

Nice work. A day moon is always such a treat for me.
