Watery Wednesday #10: Reflections on Washington, DC

Watery Wednesday

This may or may not be part of the big reflecting pool between the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial. It doesn't really look like it, but for some reason my memory wants to say that's where I was when I took this shot.

It's a beautiful shot. Really beautiful. The way the areas of interest are found at varying depths, the way the delicate colors intersperse with the dark ones, the shimmery, almost magical light...

I like this shot. I like the mixing of the colors of the leaves.

From the trees I would think you were near the tidal basin .. I dont think there are trees by the reflecting pool... going to Google it to be sure .. wait a sec .. yup .. it could have been taken over on the left there .. http://www.visitingdc.com/memorial/reflecting-pool-washington-dc.htm

Beautiful spring time shot! Love that time of year when the trees put on the flowers. Hope you have a wonderful week.

Lovely photo... I love the colours which are showing through the front bare trees and the water looks so pink as well.

Lovely colors.

It almost has to be the tidal basin, since the reflecting pool has no curves.

No matter where it is it's beautiful!
I like the lines of the trees with the curves of the path.
Very pretty colors.

Very pretty shot, wonderful colors. My 13 year old will be traveling to DC this early summer. I hope she can get some good pictures there.

I loved visiting DC. I wish I could be there for the Obama doin's. I bet they will be partying down all over town! I heard they are leaving the bars open 24 hrs all weekend. We will be celebrating here none the less.

I did not know Washington stank :o

You have captured the pool (or whatever) nicely and the colours are gorgeous. Perhaps the picture is a bit too sharp or has too much contrast but certainly it is pleasing to the eyes.
