I'm Not Ignoring You, Really I'm Not...

But I've been busy working on this. (much better in HQ -- click the button in the lower right with the triangle on it and then the "HQ".)

And can I just say, for the record, that Windoze Movie Maker is a complete piece of sh*t? I mean really.

I don't know what's going on in this World of our's these days!!

Just heard that a guy who has started TV show or something to voice the opinions of his people, decapitated his young wife (who has a toddler) in his TV station office. She had just applied for divorce few mnts ago!!

Powerful, Mojo!

I've known more rape victims than beating victims, but I know several people who are verbally absued. And those blows are invisible but keenly felt by the victims.

I did have one friend who had to climb out a window to save her life, and she was too embarassed to tell her parents what was going on with her "charming" husband. He was that... very charming like a snake. He was "hail fellow well met." Fooled everyone.

She finally left him, and he moved on to his next victim and proceeded to break her arm. She was his betrothed who dumped him flat. Then he beat his next wife. Can we say he had an anger problem???

Darn, I really want to watch your video clip...my internet is not working properly and I'm on dial up, it's sooooo slow.
I can't even load your pictures properly. As soon as I sort this out, will watch and comment. Glad Violence Unsilenced is up and running and power to it!

Mojo - This is wonderful. You did a fantastic job.

I am wishing Maggie the best of luck with her new site. This situation needs to be changed -- bless her for her efforts (you too).

Clicking on that link was a surprise.

This is a good thing to be working on! A long, long, long time ago, I was volunteer at a woman's shelter in Holyoke, Mass. Interesting experience I almost accepted a job there but found out I was moving farther west.

These are hard economic times and if you're keeping up with this issue, it's really impacting women in abusive relationships. Our local shelter closed down after years to struggling to pay the bills. There are fewer and fewer resources out there right now.

Good for you...

It's true there's too much of it. I am glad that we now recognize it. . . much more than many years ago.

Kudos to your efforts. Like the clicking of the clock to give a sense of urgency to the poignant message.

If people got involved, it would be taken more seriously. Someone has to break the cycle, including the victim.

Great job! You have captured the horror and senselessness of the whole situation in a very short amount of time.

And yes WMM sucks! I am thankful every day now that I received the gift of flash.

I can't see the picture! Must be the filtering policy here. I'll look at it at home later.

It'd be a much better world if sites like this didn't HAVE to exist, you know?

But they do, and if it saves only ONE woman's life (or man's, because some girlzz have issues and domestic violence is not strictly a hetero issue), then it's worth it to have put the time and effort into making something that speaks right to the heart.

Hello Mojo,
the video is a powerful tool against the most brutal violence.
It will hopefully reach legislators and judges all over the world.

I just finished watching this, on the surface the world looks in great shape...the underbelly stinks. I've read both victims stories on Violence Unsilenced and they're humbling to read. I left comments of encouragement for the women, but that seems to be so little a thing to do in the face of their experiences.

Knowing what I know about Windows Movie Maker - and I completely concur with your assessment - this video is even more impressive than it is on its own merit. I've struggled with this software more times than I care to admit. Another reason I'm shifting toward the wonderful world of the Apple Cult.

I'm blown away by the power of this initiative. I went to the web site and was deeply moved. You've done an immense about of good here - definitely something that repairs the world. Or a part of it that really needs comfort.

ah yes, i saw this link at some other sites too. i think it's great that people are coming forward and speaking out. like most issues, this is not something that should be ignored or hushed, especially for the sake of those who feel isolated by it. good for you for helping.
