Thematic Photographic 38: "Winter" v.3.0 - The Great Blizzard

"17 And Counting"

One more from The Great Blizzard of 2000 just because... well, it's the best example of winter we've ever had here. At this point I think were were already sitting at 17 inches, and no signs of stopping. Which I most certainly had to document because it's not likely to ever happen again.Violence Unsilenced

That would be impressive even here in New England - but would most certainly not merit "great blizzard" status!

The tree branches is definitely reacting to the blizzard, looking helpless and nakedly cold.

17inches seem no joke!!
Brrrr..I can imagine myself 20kg heavier with all the extra clothes I'll have to put on :P

Looks so isolated and cold. I've experienced snow falling a few times, but never a blizzard. Simply a beautiful shot. :)

A rare event here in the South, indeed ... but beautiful when it happens. I think we appreciate it more when it happens cuz it IS so rare, but then quickly ready for it to go away. (at least, I speak for myself lol)

Brrrr... that makes me cold just to look at it.

Fewer scenes in winter are more poignant than those that illustrate the season's impact on trees and other plant life. It's like an ever-changing palette, and you have to take mental pictures of the change every time you go outside.

Mother Nature has an amazing paintbrush. As do you.
