Sky Watch Friday

Even without a dramatic display of color, I found this sunset inspiring. Cold, but inspiring!Violence UnSilenced

Very dramatic! I'm expecting a dragon to fly by any minute now...

Who needs color with a sky like that? Quite dramatic enough in vanilla!

A beautiful sky. Doesn't need color to be appreciated.

Looks dramatic to me. Must have been tons of wind up there!

All the cloud swirls are gorgeous. THere must have been a lot of wind up high whipping them around.

Beautiful sky Mojo, well done. By the way Keith Acoin scored a goal last night for the Caps and he may reach 100 points with the Bears before the season ends.

No matter how thick the clouds are, I see the light shinning through. Love it!

Being GaGa about clouds myself I can well see why.
Impressive swirls of clouds. Did it bring on a storm?

Interesting name for this photo. The sky certainly is a soft shade of vanilla. However, thinking about the word vanilla as used more in the technical world, it means ordinary or plain, and this does look like a sky that can be seen at many different places on many different days. However, the way you've captured the sky and framed it into this photograph makes it unique.

This also reminds me of the movie by the same name and the concept of lucid dreams, but that might be going too far.

I like your title - "Vanilla Sky." Makes me think of whipped cream - I must be hungry!

Jazz, the lamp post and tree really ground this picture into a seeable perspective. It's in the world but out of it too.

Light or without it, the sky gives us surprises like this. It's really magnificent and looks like cotton too.

Oh...I like this...the man-made light post and the nature-made tree and that out-of-this world sky. Very creative capture...

This is one of my favorite shots of yours now. It doesn't look gray and angry, to me, like in some comments. I think it does look very dramatic and inspiring. I especially like the light captured coming through. Great shot.
