Monochrome Monday #39: Millrace

"Yates Mill"
Raleigh, NC - December 2008 (Click to embiggen)

Okay after last week's plunge into Warholian photography, I suppose I should give you something a little more conventional. So behold, an old favorite subject of mine... the Yates Mill dam. Doesn't matter how many times or ways I shoot this place it always appeals to me.Violence Unsilenced

Seems like it would take a lot of effort to get tired of that mill. Lovely, lovely, lovely.

I understand you're fascination of this place..
I can see my self standing there..
Laying down..
Trying to capture the perfect moment.
Breathe..

Vackert, vackert!
I hope you can show me this place sometime :)

Hugs, Anna

The water is so photogenic and your framing it with the trees gives a real sense of perspective

So how are you handling the broken post ahead feature? Its made for lots of problems for me plus Blogger suspected my blog was a spam blog and they hit me with a word verification every time I tried to post or edit .... ggggggrrrrrrrrr

I can see why you love the place! Love the trees and the water along with the dam and it looks like a place where all you can hear is the flow of the water and you smell the fresh nature scents and let your mind wander. Divine!
