That's My World Tuesday #35: Organ Hall, School of Music, UNC Greensboro

Be a virtual tour guide on That's My World Tuesday

I'm going to horn in on Greensboro Daily Photo's territory (again) today. After my son transferred to UNC-Greensboro in the spring semester of his junior year, Greensboro became a fairly regular part of my world. I was finally able to make it to his performances and recitals. There's a huge difference between 80 miles and 800 miles after all. This imposing edifice is the Organ Hall at the new music building on campus. I'm sure there are people who know much more about the history of the building than I do (which would be to say they know something about the history). But I can tell you that it's a great place to hear a saxophone recital. And it houses a pretty impressive pipe organ that I've featured here a couple of times before.

Great shot and good choice for my world. That's good that your son is closer now. I am embarrassed to say my daughter finished law school recently at the University of Iowa and I never made it there. I did visit quite a lot when she went to undergraduate school in Baltimore and I'm glad that's where she's moving now since it's going to be easier to visit. She did come home a few times when she was in Law School or I would have had to figure out a way to make it to Iowa.

Interesting looking building and a great shot -- like the angle. Glad your son is closer and that you're able to hear him perform. I have a musician son also and it's always fun to hear him perform.

Excellent post, Mojo!
Have a great week!

The building is terrific so is the contrast from the gorgeous blue sky. Is your son still attending? I'll bet it is a lovely campus!
