My World Tuesday #39: Brown Hall

"Brown Recital Hall Building, UNC Greensboro"
Greensboro, NC - May 2009 (Click to embiggen)

Be a virtual tour guide on That's My World Tuesday

Brown Hall at UNC-G, still used no longer used for performances by the School of Music because of its large auditorium*. The new music building has pretty well replaced it for smaller recitals however and Aycock Auditorium hosts the larger performances.

*My son corrected my misinformation in his comment. I had confused Brown Hall with Aycock Auditorium. Brown is now used by the film, theater, television, and broadcasting department.

This shot has a certain mood.

Someone already mentioned England.
I don't know why I think of Jack The Riper when I see this..
Probably because of the the lights and the windows.

What an interesting shot. Dunno why but Harry Potter immediately came to mind.

Have a great week.

I like the lighting's soft glow.

This could be a Parisian walkway or a Montpellier alley. I feel right at home here in this soft golden light.

Oh I don't think of Jack the Ripper like Vita - I think it is lovely and welcoming - a place I'd love to go for a midnight, serial killer free, stroll! Your whole slew of posts over the last few days have been terrific.

Really great shot of the Brown Building, but the description isn't entirely accurate. The Brown Building was once the School of Music at UNCG, but now it's the film, theater, television, and broadcasting building. No musical events go on there anymore, which is kinda sad because of the fact that the auditorium there is a pretty good size for small ensemble performances...
