Love the angle and the sepia!

The sepia allows us to focus on the shape of the peak. The leaves could be the end of Autumn leaves that are brown and dry - so we don't see a leaf about to fall, or care about it. The old style stands out with no distractions...

love how the brick is darkened

The slats at the top wouldn't keep a whole lot of weather out would they. The modern lamp light is a real contrast to the old worn building. Nice shot.
