Thematic Photographic 64: "Big" v.1.0 - "Big-ness Writ Large"

"Predictably Unpredictable"
North Topsail Beach, NC - July 2009

Thematic Photographic hosted by Carmi - Button Image by Smarmoofus Hosted by Written Inc.

So if you guessed that I'd head back to the beach for this week's "Big" theme on Thematic Photographic, you win... nothing really. It wasn't a giant intuitive leap to figure that I'd leverage the size and power of the Atlantic. So here we have it, big water, big waves, big sky... lts of just... big-ness. On a grand scale.

Infinitely big! This picture puts me in what must be my favorite position ever...standing on the sand, looking out, thinking about whatever comes to mind.

I can never get away from that feeling of size that comes from standing before the pounding surf, thinking about how these waves originated somewhere impossibly far away. Remarkable contribution and a remarkable shot. We've got to shoot a beach together someday. That would be seriously neat!

Great capture... I can almost hear the surf breaking.

Big and beautiful that is pretty amazing, color is very good too but what I like best on this is the lighting. It just has that romantic kind of end of the day feel to it!

When you get time Mojo please come see my huge water dropping helicopters.

Big sky, Big Waves, Big all reminds me how small a person is in this universe.

Just uttering the word "ocean" conjures up images of imensity, doesn't it? I went to the sea for my Big Picture, too.
