"NC Museum of Natural Sciences"
Raleigh, NC - October 2008 (Click to embiggen)
This building is one of the more recognizable ones in the Capitol District of Raleigh, and possibly one of my favorites. I'm not sure why, possibly because of the combination of lines and curves. They sort of make up for the less-than-appealing green and steel windows. I've shot it form several different angles, and got this perspective on a rather grim washed out afternoon last March. The dull flat light robbed the stone of its normal warm color, so I never really liked the shot until I converted it to black and white. That change in perspective rescued it for me. YMMV.
