Whoa! It's the little log cabin I was born in! We were so poor, we had to stitch our own clothes together out of dandelion fluff. In the winter, we had to get up before dawn to go hunt snipe, or we went hungry. I still have my old snipe hunting sack. You don't suppose Mama made all that up just to get me out of the house, do you? ;-)

Wordless maybe but it inspires words .. like maybe haunted but still worth exploring ... logs .. split planks .. those windows are staring at us ... the weeds form a mouth ... its going to swallow us alive .. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh

or not

Fantastic! and while it needs no words, it does indeed bring many to mind -- words and questions! Have a great day!

We used to travel by car in the summer quite a bit becasue my Dad taught school. On long road trips I loved seeing these kinds of ancient tumble down buildings and had a game where I claimed each one I saw as my own,

Oh, yeah? Well, we had to strategically rub dirt on ourselves to cover our nakedness. And, in the winter, we had to get up before God to hunt jackalope!

The image conjures up so many questions and so many feelings... It kind of makes me feel sad.

Great old building - and I like the monochrome tone. I could see being inspired to do a series of images just based on your one shot :)

I have a monochrome this week for WW, too:

I love old wooden buildings like this. And the black and white so accentuates the feeling of the place
