55 Flash Fiction Friday #6: "Synchronicity"

Blue light from the cellphone next to her painted the ceiling and the telltale chirp alerted her to a new text message. She thumbed the View key and stared shellshocked at the two words before her. "I'm here", was all it said. Just what she needed to hear, but how could he have known that?
M6Friday: 55FlashFiction Graciously hosted by G-Man.
Note: No connections to other 55's, but certainly to other posts.
Once in a while something happens that no matter what your personal belief structure might be it has to cope with a challenge. In order to keep the "fiction" in the Flash Fiction, I wrote what I imagined the other end of this exchange might have been like. Because the "he" at the sending end of this text message was me. For reals.

Wow you guys are prompt...the sun ain't set on Thursday yet in the west!
:P
Glad you were able to give her what she wanted. They seldom ever do.

@Susie: Who seldom ever does what? And 'tis said that the early bird gets the hits... which I've found to be true. At least on Wordless Wednesday ;)

Very good job Mojo. Certainly something we can all relate to!
Thanks for playing, Thanks for visiting, Thanks for the award earlier this week, and thanks for being such a faithful player.
Have a Great Week-End...G

Right on... sometimes your being there, even "in spirit", is just what one really needs. Someone to let them know they're not alone as they deal with life's bigger things.

Another great 55, Mojo.

Sometimes that just enough, as long as you let them know. Superb 55 Mojo.

Wow! I think we can all relate to this. Amazing way to paint the scene.

I so believe in synchronicity, you summed it up perfectly.

I played too.

@G-Man: Thank you for putting this meme out there for the world to participate in.

@Smoofus: You're absolutely right. sometimes it is the difference. And sometimes that's all we have to offer too. You wrote a pretty provocative one yourself this week. I'm still trying to sort the story behind that one.

@Queenie: Hey, congratulations! You were my 1500th visitor. Thanks for stopping by!

@Signgurl: This was one of those weeks where I wish I'd had a few more words available.

@Akelamalu: I read yours just now... you hit one of my rawest nerves with that one. Unfortunately the people who'd need to get that message wouldn't be moved by the story. But thanks for writing it anyway. If nothing else it raises awareness.

@Missy: When I got the chill-factor was 3 minutes later when I got a reply saying "How did you know?"

@Anybody I missed: Thanks for stopping by, hope you have a great weekend!

well I guess he knew because (maybe) he knows her like the back of his hand! :)

Nicely put Mojo. I like the Visual imagery of your creations! Both with camera & with words!

( once again, Thanks for the award :))

@Mona: If only that were true and "he" did know "her" so well...
(And you're welcome!)

Oooo. Gives me cold chills. So, was it really "him" or someone or something else out there??? Nicely done, Mojo! Mine's up, too.

@donetta: I hadn't considered that angle... could make an interesting serial. But in this case, no, it was truly "him". Actually "he" was truly "me". The only thing fictional in this account is I don't know exactly how "she" reacted, but I do know she responded 3 minutes later with more or less what she said here. (And I got the timestamps to prove it!)

It was weird.
