Sepia Scenes #6: Shy Camelia

"Peeking Through"
Raleigh, NC - October 2008 (Click to embiggen)

Sepia Scenes - Brought to you by Mary the Teach

I think this is a camelia poking its head through the fence between me and my weird neighbors, but it could be one of the Dendron Sisters (Rhoda or Phyllis) too I suppose. I just know it looks almost exactly like the camelias I didn't manage to kill when I moved them a few years ago.

I wasn't sure how well this would work converted to a monochromatic format, but it grows on ya. (pun intended)

Nice close-up shot. I love the grains of the wood.

And I do love a good pun. LOL This reminds me of the little surprises that make their way through our fence from our neighbor's yard.

The wood is especially nice in sepia and the plant does "grow" on me.

I really like the more golden tones in this.
I keep going back to look at it so it must be growing on me. :)
Happy Thanksgiving Mojo!

Beautiful and original.

The pale vertical grains of the wood highlight and seem to protect the precious dense bronze of the leaves! Lovely!

Very nice close up Mojo. And I think it is a Rhododendron just by looking at the leaves.

Oh wow I wish we still had flowers blooming. Everything has gone by here already.

I am late but my PC was down all week and just got fixed yesterday.

My shot is here.

That is if you're not asleep in front of the t.v. after Thanksgiving dinner.

Happy Thanksgiving!!:-)
