This is the first time I've actually gone out hunting (or setting up) shots for Thematic Photographic. But ever since this week started I've been seeing noticing patterns in everything. I suspect many TP participants are goind through this same phase. That's the best part of this meme to me. Once the prompt is announced, it makes you notice things you might not have before. And even if you don't shoot it, your awareness expands every time that happens. Ironically, I saw several worthy subjects today when I was out running around and didn't have my camera along. But part of that running around was a trip to the local discount store to find the materials for the second and third shots you see here.

I didn't put the fence up as part of the meme, but it presents an interesting pattern. It runs along the gravel path that borders one side of my garage.

Inside the garage I spent about an hour fumbling around with a couple of clip-on visor mirrors and a candle. The experiment didn't come off quite like I planned it, and I'm not entirely sure why. Part of the reason was that the mirrors weren't really large enough to do the job, but the only other alternative readily available was the full-length mirrors you'd hang on a door. Those would've been too big, so I opted for these instead figuring that at $3 each I wasn't really losing anything if it didn't work.

I took about 3 dozen shots at various exposure settings figuring I'd get one I could use. I got it narrowed down to these two and then couldn't decide which I liked better. I liked the composition in the first one, and the contrast in the second. Then I realized I didn't have to choose between them... so I didn't.edible latex panties girls rubber leather licking slick wet lesbian asian amateur milf horny housewives mother theresa

I like the candles in the mirror. With the right arrangement they can seem to go on forever. Good idea to stage your own pattern. It shows how right you are about seeing patterns everywhere this week --- even in your own mind!.

I think the pics look really classy, Mojo. The second one would go perfectly in my bedroom.

@barb: That's the effect I was going after, but I couldn't get the angle I wanted. I have an idea how to fix that, but I'm not sure where I'd find the necessary materials.

@smoofus: Well you know thta's my mission in life don't you? Of course you do.

@snow: You really think so? In that case, I'll bring you a framed print and even hang it for you. (Yeah, that's the ticket... hang it for you!)

@lisa: It worked, it's just not the image that was in my head when I started. Maybe I'll revisit the concept at some future point... if I find the right materials.
