Hosted by Written Inc.About three hours or so east of where I live is a town I visit any time I can find an excuse. I've seen pretty much everything there is to see there, so it isn't like I keep discovering new things, but it draws me back as surely as the moon draws the tide.

you don't see 'apothecary' too often. i love it...the simplicity and colors.
@Ciara: This isn't actually a working shop anymore. The Beaufort Historic Site is a collection of restored buildings near the center of the historic district. But the colors are striking, and the simplicity is still a very central part of the town's character. That's one of the reasons I love it so much.
I love the word apothecary! There is something almost mad-scientist about it. I'm sad that this shop is no longer in operation. Why don't we keep the good words?
