Nature gives us the flower, but in this case the flowers aren't naturally occurring. The first shot is from a planter outside the Velvet Cloak Inn, the second is from Raulston Arboretum. Both were cultivated by the hands of humans, but have managed to keep their natural beauty.

i have to say the first one is my fave...i love the soft yellow blur leading into the bright colors and then how the same colors are faded in the back. it's creating almost like a soft framing effect.

Salvia ... I only know this because someone pointed it out in my Thursdays in the Hood post/photo

And a rose is a ... allergy trigger

How pretty the purple and red look together in the first photo. I love the way you blurred the edges, it makes it look very soft. The rose is showing slight signs of withering on its edges, but still regal in its beauty. The bee is an added bonus to the all around effect this photo has on the senses. Beauty with a touch of danger. A great capture! :-)

The flowers are beautiful. I love talking pictures and in fact just posted some. I take them of almost anything.

Ahhhh...my Sunday needed some color. Thank you for providing it.

You've got me thinking about our role in cultivating nature. Is a picture of a landscaped garden, for example, one of nature or of humans' mastery over it?

I tend to the former. The stuff would grow regardless. We're just facilitating. We couldn't make it from scratch, and we're still in awe of it as it sprouts from the ground.

As always, you manage to prompt deep thought as you post memorable views. Thanks!
