Thematic Photographic 17: "Angles" v.1.0
Angles, like the Patterns Thematic featured a few weeks ago, can be found everywhere. Just in a cursory pass through some of my archived shots I found a wealth of examples. And as usual, I expect to see some very original spins on a wide open theme. Sometimes the presence of the angles is obvious, as in this view of the Great Lakes Science Center in Cleveland. I didn't exactly visit the Science Center though... it just happens to be right next door to the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame. Some angles are more conspicuous by their absence. A goaltender's job is to take away a shooter's angle. Here's Hurricanes' goaltender Cam Ward demonstrating the concept.

Ooooh! I successfully pushed for holding my Barrister's Ball at the Great Lakes Science Center. I even made the committee spring for opening one of the exhibit floors for the night. I was so demanding. *giggles* Alas, I do not have many pictures from that time in my life. I didn't own a decent camera then. *wistful sigh* But that was a fantastic night! Worth every penny!
Isn't it a fabulous building? Great angles, Mojo.

i love the building photo..fab in b&w. it reminded me a bit of the photo i just put up on mine. http://herroyalness.blogspot.com
The science center photo is fabulous in B&W ... you can really see the angles better that way. And I really like the interpretation with the hockey shot ... nice job!
very cool blog...i'll have to check it out more thoroughly! Yes, low light is the.best.lighting for pics!
Done good!
Oooh, I like the hockey player. My daughter is always sitting like that, it makes my hip flexor hurt just thinking about it. Maybe I should make her a goalie?
I "THINK"...wait..wrong word..I "KNOW"...*your* Hurricane's Goalie may have to brush up on his *Angles* when he is going to be playing against *my* Buffalo Sabres team! ;-)
You sure know how to play all the angles....

You certainly found all the angles. I probably would have looked at that building and not thought anything in particular, but just the mention of the word angle makes all the difference.
Beautiful Building!!
I want to visit Cleveland, have for quite a time now. Was even going to drive and stop here and there.
Maybe in the spring :)
As always love your photos and love your titles - especiazlly glove in the room :)
If I hadn't read the post (and and first, I didn't), I'd think that you'd been in Oakland's Jack London Square recently... There's a building there that looks oh, so similar to this one.
Lovely.
That top one reminds me of the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, and the building behind it looks like another one in the Atlanta skyline!
Like your take on things with the second photo. :-)
Wow, that's a beautiful building... great shot - second one is a good idea too. :-)
Absolutely love the hockey-angle perspective! The photo shows all the angles he could possibly make! (And the ones he closes off!) Nice!
Thanks for the stop by my blog, by the way! Hope you have a good week!
loved the building, but honestly, don't you think the goalie would have looked better in...black and gold? I'm just sayin...
