Shutterday #4: Theme 93 - "WTF?"
Maybe this doesn't seem like a WTF moment to you. But when it's 12 degrees and snowing, seeing this guy running on the Blue Ridge Parkway in shorts and a t-shirt definitely elicited a "WTF?" from me. Dedicated, or just stupid? You decide.

It's only a WTF moment for a nonrunner... seriously, I bet he's having an awesome run and enjoying the fact that he's moving through *that* landscape on his own power.
That's what I'd be thinking anyway.
Yep, I feel the same way you do. People 'round us run all year long, no matter the temps or depth of snow and I sit and think WTF?!
fitness rules!!
It is peace in Mumbai at last.
Thank you for all your prayers and good wishes.
Pray for all those who lost their lives and may God give strength to their near and dear ones to bear their irreparable loss.
my stepson would probably do that. he wouldn't even have to be running to wear shorts in that weather. he wears shorts 365 days a yr and sometimes 366
That is one sort of sports. In Finland there is a group of people who run in a very cold weather and only shorts on.

(please, but the NAME and URL possibility in here !!!)
hi mojo,
amazing photo, especially since you had to be running at full tilt to keep up with the guy.
while long distance running for 11 years, my favourite runs were in the winter - snow or not as long as the ground was bare - when the temp was near zero. after five minutes even the long sleeves, small gloves and toboggan (toque, cap) would seem more than enough.
at a party last night i said i'd come out of retirement to do the Edinburgh marathon in a few years. what was I thinking? (drinking? single malts.)
cheers,
gord h.
ps could i purchase a copy of the photo? my son and many friends still run long distance and it would make a stunning card, poster. with your http included too.
I would title this photo Dedication. However, given the choice between running in it or shoveling it - even I would elect to run.
