Skywatch Friday #5: Summer Lace
With the coming of fall, the tiny blossoms you see here begin to drop away, but on this day, they stood out like diamonds against a backdrop of unblemished blue.

This look like white crepe myrtle, is it?
Nice blue background.
Yes it does look like Crepe Myrtle. Mine has gone by already.
This is a beautiful shot. The sky is so clear and bright blue!!
Mine is up too!!

Happy SWF:-)))
Beautiful white flowers against the bright blue sky.
Lovely shot for Skywatch.
I wasn't sure, so I just went and checked it out. And judging from the bark and what's left of the leaves I'd say you're right. It's not the variety of Crepe Myrtle I'm used to though... the blooms are different. But it's at least a very close relative.
Nice catch!
They are lovely and fluffy, and look wonderful against the blue of the sky.
So pretty, Mojo. You still had such lovely blossoms in October? I'm jealous. ;-)
Hi Mojo, I have the odd blossom on my Myrtle, however, the rain make them go over so quickly.
Lovely picture reminds me of what to look forward too in the Spring. Thanks for sharing.
It looks fragile and beautiful against that blue sky -- ah, I'm already looking forward to spring, but here in the northwest, that's a long, long way away! Thank you!
WOW! That is a pretty cool shot!~
Mine's, HERE.Happy SWF!
You can never go wrong with flowers, that too against a lovely blue sky!
Very pretty blossoms, and the white is set off wonderfully against the clear blue sky. Nice choice!
So pretty ... what sort of blossoms are they?
:-Daryl
Beautiful shot - great contrast.
T: That is a neat capture of the blossoms in the sky.
Great sky watch post. Bt the way Keith Aucoin was named the AHL player of the month for October. He is a big hellp to the Bears.
Beautiful and makes me dream of spring instead of the snow coming tomorrow. :)
Nice and gentle with the white flowers against the blue sky.
I am just floored that something like this blooms in OCTOBER! It looks like April. Gorgeous!
