Back in Raleigh the NC State Fair wound to a close on Sunday October 26th. Every night -- weather permitting -- the Fair closes with a fireworks display, and the last night is always a big one (they're firing off everything they didn't use during the first 9 days). While I was waiting for the show to begin, I caught this shot one of the Ferris Wheels on the grounds. My vantage point for the fireworks display was slightly compromised by trees, but all things considered I didn't do too badly. And in some of the shots, the trees actually added to the composition. Like this one.

I have really been enjoying your NC photographs. Thanks for sharing them.
I'm really frustrated that I can't see the photos. I know you can't help it, but I wish I knew why.
I have always loved shots of fireworks and fair rides at night. There is something very magical about it all. Beautiful shots. :-)
