"Be Watt Wise!"

Last week's "Downtown Backbone" essay featured the Progress Energy building, which is headquarters for the electric utility that provides electricity for Raleigh and most points east. Aren't they the ones always preaching to us to conserve? To be "watt wise"? Yes, I believe they are.Then will someone explain why their corporate offices are lit up like the Fourth Of July at 9:30 on a Saturday night in the middle of August? I mean really. Who's still there working? Probably the people who make the "Watt-wise" ads, eh?And we wonder why our electric bills are so high.
