Thematic Photographic 29 - "Quiet" v.2.0: "Yates Mill by Day"
This is Yates Mill from the other side of the building and the other side of the day. I went back a couple of days after my less-then-successful night shot attempt and got some more "conventional" daylight shots. Not the dramatic moonlit image I was hoping for, but I was happy with the results.

Thank you for the visiting my blog - so I found the interesting TP meme and your photos. I liked esp.the night mill, there is really smth special...my English is very poor to describe all I want to say. And yes, I have struggled too in too dark places.
What about black and white photos...I think I'm still like a child, who wants to see colours. So interesting mill and the background... I wonder is it light green forest or light yellow?
Very nice, Mojo. Isn't that a great place to indulge our photographic habit? I love going out there. I'm going to stop by out there next week and drop off a couple of my prints at the visitor center. They won't be framed, but they will be free. :0) The can get a couple of cheap frames at WalMart.
Hey Mojo :)
I like how it turned out as well. I think the black and white sets the tone well.
I love the Wordsmith's Challenge picture this month!! I am so incredibly busy lately I just can't seem to find time to sit down and write without getting interrupted. :S

So suited to B&W ...

I really really like both your photos of Yates Mill! They're terrific. Looking back at both I was about to say my favorite was the one you took at night but I can't. They're both great. Very nice picks for Carmi's quiet challenge.
