Watery Wednesday #8: Aquarium Entry

"Aquarium Entry"
Pine Knoll Shores, NC- October 2008 (Click to embiggen)

Watery Wednesday

The last place I stopped during my most recent trip was the newly renovated State Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores. Apparently the facility underwent a ground-up refitting a few years ago, but it had been too long since I'd been there last for me to confirm or deny. It looked much like I remembered it other than the new main tank which I'm almost certain wasn't there before.

In addition to the salt water tanks, the Aquarium exhibits marine life and habitats from every part of the state. This waterfall is at the main entrance.

Water always add to an entrance, or makes it a gateway. But I'm a bit biased as a hydrologist.

Great photograph Mojo. On a hot day it would be so inviting to just go and stand under that clear water stream.
