"Chipped Hansel"Raleigh, NC - January 2009 (Click to embiggen)Next Week's Challenge: "Furry"
Despite what you might be thinking, this is not a sepia toned image. The combination of lighting and white balance created this tone au naturel.
poor hansel... the lighting sure was on your side for this effect then...
Great shot. The lighting gives a wonderful contrast between the chipped and the unchipped!
Hansel looks like the ginger bread has been nibbled.
I knew it wasn't a sepia...the whites are too white. :0) I really like this image because of the textures and detail. Very compelling. Nice one, again, Mojo.
Great shot! Beautiful and sad.
Poor Hansel. Showing his age. I did Photo Hunters today, too. I hope you get a chance to visit. http://newyorktraveler.net/photo-hunters-chipped/
Looks like he's taken quite a beating...nice choice for the theme!
So, um, what's a "Hanset"?
I liked your picture today, Mojo. Great post!My PH post...
Oh..poor thing....
This looks like my yard man had a go at it! I have statues that look very similar. ;-)Love the fact that this is not sepia. If you hadn't said anything, I would have thought it was. Neat shot.Sheila :-)
there is such beauty in this piece weathered by time which you've captured so well.
I love the colors and the way you've framed this one. That and the chips give it an air of sadness and time.
