Thematic Photographic 32: "Aged" v.3.0 - Back to the Grind
Because it only snows here on Inauguration Day, Raleigh is ill-equipped to manage things that in other climes would be a matter of course. Like snow removal. So I decided with everything else that was going on that I wanted to witness anyway, I'd stay home let natural selection take care of those who would be hazardous to my safety. But today I, like our new President, am back at work. But since I can still squeeze in one more entry in this week's Thematic Photographic I thought these worn out mill stones now serving as the steps up to the porch of Yates Mill were an appropriate way to bid the "Aged" theme farewell. Like most things this age, I wonder what stories they would have to tell if given the opportunity. Then again, I suppose their lives were a real grind, weren't they?

Even in cities that are well equipped they have their problems. We have not had garbage pick up in weeks because of the snow berms. The trucks cannot manuever through the alleys where our cans are. There are still 2-3 foot snow berms on most roads. But in the height of the storms we could not get off our street to the main road. I'm starting to hate winter.
I am starting to carry my camera everywhere and have made a commitment to take more pictures.
Have a wonderful Wednesday.
I swear I thought it said THERMAL ... maybe the cold is getting to me more than I thought
