Ruby Tuesday #24: My Favorite Sushi Bar Redux

"I'll Have the Roll Combo"
Raleigh, NC - December 2008 (Click to embiggen)

Ruby Tuesday - Are you red-dy? Hosted at

This is another scene you've seen before, and in fact that shot was taken only seconds before this one. But I like the place so well that I thought it merited an encore. Sono manages to serve up kick-butt sushi in an upscale area without being completely brutal on the wallet. And you really must try the spider roll. It rocks!

If we ever get down to NC we definitely have to try this place, Mojo! Great RT post! :)

I remember the shot and I, too, liked it a lot.

Red is used to get our attention...and I remember the previous picture before. It looks so nice I would consider a trip to RDU for dinner.

Providing I ever get the time or $ to actually do so!

I too remember the other picture.
If Sushi was my thing (is not), I guess I'd join you.
I Might do it anyway, I someone payed my ticket to.. hmm..NC would that be North Carolina?
No, there sure must be more than one famous sushi bar in the entire state.

Anyway, have a happy Ruby Tuesday.

I love this evening shot. I think I might be the only person in America that doesn't do Sushi :0)
I'd still enjoy watching someone else enjoy the Sushi...

Like the neony red night shot. So what is in the spidery roll? Nothing creepy crawly I hope. I like sushi with avocado, nothing fishy or crawlable.

I love sushi. Do you have a photo of the spider roll?

Right! Neon lights look great in red as well as pretty eye catching.

p/s: I do have my share of horrid shots too :P

Trying to make me hungry?

I don't do sushi, but other Japanese food is fine with me.

Sushi in Raleigh? Now that is cool. Here in Spokane we have about 6 sushi bars. I can never get enough sushi or tempura or sukyaki or...you know how it goes.
The picture makes me want to find a little haunt and hang out.

Sounds like a fantastic place, and that black and red gives it a real edgy urban type feel.

I don't eat fish but I LOVE vegetarian sushi - give me all the trimmings, hold the raw stuff.

I always enjoy your photos and your knack with capturing light in your shots...this one, I especially like the delicate branches in both corners of the foreground.

Have a great Ruby Tuesday!

Eaton. :)

Love the red neon sign on the restaurant and the warm glow it casts. Easy to see it is one of your favorites. Maybe a place for a meal on Valentine's Day or something.
