That's My World Tuesday #19: Film at Eleven
Despite the fact that its transmission facilities are well outside of town, the local ABC affiliate, WTVD has its Raleigh headquarters right in the middle of the downtown backbone. None of the other major network affiliates have studios in the downtown core, and this location is made more interesting yet by the fact that WTVD originally operated out of Durham, not Raleigh. I got this shot almost by accident while trying to get some downtown night shots. It just so happens that my favorite sushi restaurant in town is right next door.

So now we are eyewitnessses to your photo of Eyewitness News? ;-)
Great shot! Should make eye-witness news! Thanks for sharing!
Mojo: What a neat capture on the street.
the network must have stayed downtown because of the sushi place :)
neat capture.
Eyewitness News Channel 7 here in New York is my TV news channel of choice! :)
Who watches the watchers eh? Something very CSI about this image.
Wow what an unusual TV studio, cool pic as always.
Have a great week!

Great night shot. Hope you took the time to stop in for some sushi.
Sometimes it's not the anticipated photo that ends up the great one!
I was going to say "Wait a minute, didn't the 'D' stand for Durham?" I didn't know WTVD moved. And where is WRAL? reat night shot!
Wonderful night shot. That is funny it is so close.
You captured it well
This is a beautiful night downtown view...
lovely capture of an active night downtown!
your nighttime street shots are always so colourful and lively!
First time I hear of Eyewitness News. Cool concept!
Greetings from Africa,
Esther (using Sheba's profile, lol!)
I would stay downtown too with a sushi restaurant next door. No chance of sushi where I live now!
Hi, great urban shot. You've got all the colours just right and the neon sign too. Well done!
I've just entered a real spree of tour guide shots I'm afraid. Wonder if anyone will have the strength to go through them all :)
