Two4Tuesday #1: "Old & New"

"Sixty Years in the Making"
Raleigh, NC - February 2009 (Click to embiggen)

I need a program. But I got invited to play along on this new meme, and you know how hard it is for me to pass one of those up. The idea behind this one is there are two themes posted each week that are polar opposites. Catch them both in one shot and it's a bonus, but two will do the job (think of it as Heads and Tails). You can find out all about it at the host site. We'll see how it goes. On to the photo!

For the first week, the rulers of Tuesdayville let everyone choose their own pair of themes. After poking around in the archives for a few minutes, I settled on "Old & New" when I spotted this shot.

Captured in the hubcap of the spare wheel of this (old) 1942 Ford delivery van is the reflection of my (new...er) 2002 Dodge pickup. Old and new...

PS: The Ford was wicked... expect to see more of that truck on these pages in the future.

Great idea, create your own opposite theme!

I can't resist a meme, either, but I feel justified contributing to this new one since I've been waiting and waiting for the Tuesday Challenge to come back!

What a great theme to come up with. I was guessing while reading your post. Didn't notice the image in the mirror. I find you are very talented at this. Joining so many meme's with wonderful photos. I am still thinking about which photo to choose for a monochrome effect. I really, really would like to learn more about photography... I guess I don't have to tell you how amazing this passion is.
