Thematic Photographic 38: "Winter" v.5.0 - Ice Tassles
I'm only surprised by this formation of icicles because of the wind that day. You'd think that something as flexible as a canvas awning blowing in the breeze would have fractured the ice clinging to it and caused it to break free. Okay, maybe you wouldn't think that. But I would.

I'm amazed by the symmetry. They're all about the same length and streaming straight down the canvas.
I have this crazy idea I would like to actually see icicles form. The problem might be blinking. But they seem to appear out of the blue.
It is so unusual to see this much color in a photograph of icicles. Great shot.
I love the title of this photograph, and the explanation of it as well.
Awesome capture.
Cheers!

But you captured it beautifully. They look delicate and deadly at the same time.
The icicles I see on pictures are normally thick and fat, these are slim and pretty sexy in a way :P
p/s: I'm too addicted to the net, I'm actually sitting around Starbucks just for access!! *LOL*
Happy snowy Monday morn' to you! :)
We lived thru' 1995 -60F wind chill blizzard in Minneapolis, MN, so nothing fazes now! :D
Even awnings freezes stiff if it's below freezing for icicle to form.
i'd have also thought. must've been darn cold!

How funny! I hadn't even thought about that when I snapped a canvas blowing around while the icicles clung on. :) Great minds and all. ;)
Pretty!
This is a great snap, I can't get anything like that here and I bet you wish it wasn't cold enough to snapping pics like this either. It's beautiful. :)
