Thematic Photographic 39: "Transparent" v.5.0 - Whoa-oh-oh It's Magic

"Magic Tape"

I once wrote a humorous bit about gift wrapping that included the observation that Scotch Magic Tape got its name not from the fact that it's invisible on packages, but that it disappears as soon as you put it down. And the amount of time and effort required to make it reappear is directly proportional to the number of corners you're trying to hold together with one hand while yo'ure feeling around for it amid the scraps of gaily colored paper and ribbon all around you. But I'm pretty sure the marketing department at 3M would rather that this bit of informaiton didn't leak out. So shhh...Violence Unsilenced

I believe the tape elves are responsible for all disappearing tape dispensers and we can't see them laughing at us.

A certain elf around here finds the purple Scotch like you have there to be perfect for laminating--everything.

Oh, I thought that meant the end of it when it sticks down and you can't find it to pull off another piece!

Trick is not to rip it off the roll til you are ready to use it ... you can use any other body part (Keep it Clean!) to hold the dispenser as you hold down the wrapping paper and then affix the tape

All that aside

That is one truly awesome shot!

Now I've got that Cars song running through my head!
I must have overdone it last week, because I have failed to submit more than one entry this week.

Very clever idea. This is my favorite "transparent."

Plus - great photo. You made it different and so interesting.
