In case you missed it: Check out my entry in Nicole B's Scavenger Hunt!
This week's Thematic Photographic prompt is "Drink", and as soon as I saw it I knew what I'd have to lead off with. Strong, black coffee is what I lead off every morning with, so it's the only fitting opener for this theme. And as luck would have it one of my sons gave me this spiffy Hurricanes coffee mug for Christmas in 2007. The only problem is that it can't be nuked, and isn't dishwasher safe because of the medallion on the side. But it's a small sacrifice.

Beautiful photo of a beautiful mug! It becomes even more precious as a thoughtful gift from your son. Best wishes :)
Great quote to go with that mug! (I voted for you.)
Mmmmm! I can just smell the coffee from here!
Mmmm, coffee! You should check out Gary Rith's pottery and order yourself a coffee mug that can go in the dishwasher & the microwave. My youngest son loves snakes so for Christmas I ordered him a snake mug. Gary did a great job!
I'll have to get going on this week's assignment...as soon as I've had a couple of cups of good strong coffee!
Nice photo of the mug with the symbol......I love my coffee!
super cool mug that!
Neat composition. The lighting is too good and the coffee looks really strong.
Yummmmm, coffeee. Must. Make. More. Against the very dark background the Hurricanes logo almost appears to float :-).
A small sacrifice--and a guarantee that the nectar of the gods of morning will not be nuked.
I'm raising my mug to you this morning. Great shot.
I would say 'cool' but actually its hot
Caffeine deprivation is not a pretty picture....but, in this case, it works! : )
Lovely ... reminds me of the quiet and dark of the early morning just before my family rises ... I love that time of day :)
Who starts their day without coffee? Surely it's not possible. :)) Cute mug, all the better because it's a gift from your son.
I can't stand the stuff, but I love your photo :)
My dad drink his coffee black every day and teases that it's not really coffee is you put anything else in it.
Nice photo for Carmi's challenge.
