If you've followed my entries on The World In Black & White, you may be having a sense of deja vu here. Yes, some of these photos have appeared there, and yes I've recycled the titles even. This is in Oswego, NY on the shores of Lake Ontario and was not a scheduled stop on the Great College Road Trip of 2005. But is is only a minor detour on the way to SUNY Potsdam, home of the Crane School of Music, where my son spent his first 2¹/₂ years of college. It's also the birthplace of Erik Cole, former^* star winger and fan favorite of the NHL's Carolina Hurricanes. The trip up to Postdam for freshman orientation was only a month removed form the Canes winning the Stanley Cup, so we stopped off in Oswego to see if they'd painted the town red (and white and black). they hadn't, but there were some cool photos to be had anyway.

^*Cole was reacquired by the Hurricanes at this year's trade deadline, which will tell you a little bit about how far in advance I schedule some of these posts
