With the Hurricanes making such a noise in the playoffs, everybody's getting in on the act. An article in the local paper this morning said that local businesses might collectively bring in $1M a date for each home game and that the businesses benefiting the most, are those hit hardest by the recession. Me? I'm just enjoying the ride.

Few things are more gratifying than watching a city come together behind its teams. I remember it so well growing up in Montreal, the way little signs of Canadiens-worship showed up in the unlikeliest of places.
Nice to know the tradition carries on far and wide. Go Canes indeed. Call me a long distance fan - the way you write and share their journey is infectious!
