Monochrome Monday #38: Just Because I Can

"Oh, yeah, he's lost it..."
Raleigh, NC - November 2008 (Click to embiggen)

I can hear the questions now. "What is that?... Is that a streetlight??... Why in the world...?" And the answer? It's in the title. I just liked the way the light hit it. There's really nothing more to it than that.Violence Unsilenced

I like it how you are able to put the spotlight on an object that we all pass daily without noticing. Very artful shot!

Can It Janet! Photography once you get into it you really do view the world around it a different way. No more the mundane but the arty.

Great combo—lights, darks, dead bugs sprinkled in a lovely design. Very artsy. Love it! ;)

I still can't quite work out how it's a streetlight but it definitely has a unique appeal. I like it.

Not as much as I'm sure I'll like the Dog Mahal, if I ever get to see it that is. Ahem.

Excellent shot. It looks like it belongs on one of the pages of Architectural Digest!

Very inventive. It looks sort of futuristic to me.
