If you've ever worked in a restaurant, the title needs no explanation. If you haven't, this shot was taken just after the doors opened on a Saturday night. In not very long, the place will be wall to wall with hungry customers who may or may not realize (or care) that they outnumber the staff by at least a 20:1 ratio.

Nice shot, Mojo. It reminds me of my high school days when I worked in a kitchen at a truck stop. The days at the dishwasher there were interesting. We prayed for those quiet times.

It could get ugly. Hide your children.
I always thought that working in a restaurant would have to be one of the toughest jobs in the world.
I like the light circle on the wall reflected on the bar. Cool shot!

yeah, and if the staff encounter grumbling and irritable customers, ugh!
eerie quiet before the opening... not something the patrons think of when they're there.

I loved waitressing! Would do it again in a heartbeat!
Ah sushi zen .. ah so...
Great idea for a wordless post. It is very calm indeed before the hungry arrive.
You are talking my language here, every Sunday night I am there before the first customers. I know exactly what you mean. :))
