Sepia Scenes #37: Beauty by Association

Sepia Scenes - Brought to you by Mary the Teach

There's something irresistibly photogenic about anything related to rail transport. Like this ordinary looking building across the tracks from the Amtrak terminal. Nothing special about it that I can see except there's a rail bed running alongside.

not special, yet special, yes.

I know the feeling. No matter what their appearance, I always check out a train station.

Oh I don't know the stone and the shape of the building seems to fit right in with the foreground of the rail, I like it.

I have to agree with you about that. Nice shot, especially in the sepia tones. :-)

Mojo, is there a third rail to worry about? Happy Sepia Scenes! Good job! :)

Hmmm. Were you standing on the "wrong side of the tracks"?

COOL PHOTO.

Perhaps it's because rails are usually separate from most everyday views. I see railroad tracks less than once a month despite living in Atlanta.

The modern buildings are nicely enhanced with sepia. But the old romance of the rails looks great in sepia, the train bed seems like bronze or something from the old past. All the sights in the picture seem in harmony in sepia!

Trains make for romantic photography, I think. Quiet stations make me wonder where else is the better place to be for everyone else.

The old building looks wonderful in sepia, especially with a touch of wispy tree foliage intersecting the railway lines! Lovely!

train stations always feel romantic to me
and you know how I have a thing about lines and angles so RR tracks are a dream to me

I agree with you.

I know a place in Sweden that should be near paradise for you!!
A small old town with this really old railroad station. It's called Nora.

I must go there, at least once a year! :)
