Gandhi once said you can tell a lot about a civilization by the way it treats animals. I hope that's not entirely accurate. These puppies were found abandoned and taken to the SPCA of Wake County. It's a story repeated with mind-numbing frequency every day across the US and the world. These guys were lucky. They were found by someone who cared enough to save them, and most or all of them found homes at this Adopt-A-Thon. And that made them part of a very small, very fortunate minority.Maybe I'm just not smart enough, because this is high on the long list of things I'll never understand.

He looks very sad, crying out for help and no one to listen. :(
The world is full of things I don't understand. That's why they're worth the highlighting and the questions that follows!
Heartless people... that's why the world look like it does. And I think Gandhi is so right.
