I suppose it's odd that the first shot of the new "Summer" theme would come from the last day of my recent trip to Topsail Island, but I caught some of the most spectacular sunrise shots that day (once my lenses quit fogging up that is). I normally think of "vacation" as a time when you turn off the alarm clock, but these scenes were well worth getting up before dawn for. And besides, once the morning light's gone, I can always take a nap before the evening light comes, right?
