Ruby Tuesday #55: "Red and Getting Redder"

"Mmm... Baked Human. Tastes Like Chicken."
North Topsail Beach, NC - July 2009 (Click to embiggen)

Ruby Tuesday - Are you red-dy? Hosted at

Scanning the archives for a Ruby Tuesday I had this bright red canopy jump out at me from my collectoni of stuff from Topsail Island. And I have no doubts whatsoever that in the throng not under it there were any number of people turning every bit as red as it was. C'mon, a little moderation people.

Hot sand on the beach it looks to me! But from the looks of that lady walking on it. I might be wrong.

I like the contrast of the red umbrella with the bright blue sky.

I don't like sitting on the beach in the hot sun. Early evening works better for me.

I enjoy sitting on a beach on a sunny day with the pounding surf nearby. However, while I do love the sea breezes, too much sun does not agree with me. The red-topped canopy is thus my favorite place to be on the beach!

That umbrella is really a shockingly bright red. It looks great against the sand and sky. After a month of wooded lake lots beach cottages look so foreign to me. (Who am I kidding, they ARE foreign to me. I'd sure like to get to know one up close and personal though.)
