If you've never watched one of these under construction it's fascinating to see. But be prepared to be patient, because it takes a while for construction to be completed. I didn't actually watch the process while this one was going up, I just saw the finished product catching the early morning light when I took Tonka out for his morning necessaries. I'm sure he thought I'd lost my mind when I dashed back inside to get the camera, but I knew if I didn't catch this right now, I'd lose the light. I actually had a different shot in mind for today, but this one preempted it. And now I'm off to get what I hope will be a whole crop of fun new shots at an air show. See you this evening!

I'll say .. I wonder if spiders belong to a union

Ha! To Daryl's comment. I think there's a deferential on the night shift, isn't there? ;-)

Mr. Mojo: this is stunning. Fantastic. Beautiful. Miraculous. And. Poetic. Needless to say, I love it.

That is one fantastic shot - it looks like a long exposure shot of a ferris wheel at night. Love it! (especially since it doesn't even feature a creepy spider)

A piece of art. And a very nice shot. They are truly amazing, the spiders.

I am amazed at the orderly geometry of this one. I saw one this morning, too, but the spider must have been drunk when he spun it.

Wow! What a great capture!

I love air shows, and I can't wait to see what you come back with.

Some spiders are actually much quicker at it than I realized. Well, the whole thing takes a long time but if you watch them string a few it's impressive how fast each one goes. Beautiful!!

Un. Freaking. Believable.

There are days I swear there's nothing you can't do with a camera.
