Thematic Photographic 66: "Shiny" v.5.0 - "Meine Geliebte"
One of the many (many) static displays at the Winston Salem Air Show was this Swiss-built P-3 Trainer (not to be confused with the USAF P-3 Orion AWACS aircraft) that has obviously captured the heart of ... well, someone anyway. I don't know if the artwork was from its original unit, or added by its current owner but somebody at some point took a great deal of time in adorning this aircraft. Could be a story behind the painting, or maybe the dude just loves his airplane. I've seen stranger things.

now you've got me wondering too...
That is on a shiny surface. I've always wondered who did the artwork on the planes...
Fabulous! Truly one I would frame.
Stunning!!
I would like to frame this piece!
Very nice! I love the artwork!
I often imagine that aviation artwork is an entire field of study just waiting for discovery by historians.
My late uncle flew Daks in WWII, and although he couldn't wield a brush to save his life, his crewmates could. Never saw any pictures, though...wish I had.
Ohhhh, I luv pin-up art on airplanes! Niiiice!
