Thematic Photographic 67: "Urban" v.1.0 - Rochester by Night

"From the 14th Floor"
Rochester, NY - August 2005 (Click to embiggen)

Thematic Photographic hosted by Carmi - Button Image by Smarmoofus Hosted by Written Inc.

I should really remember the hotel I stayed in with my son in Rochester. It's not like I stay in so many upscale hotels that I don't remember them. But for some reason I've blanked this one out. It was in the Hyatt/Hilton class... but somehow neither of those names sounds right. (I know it was near the Eastman Kodak building, so I could probably G**gle it and find out, but that takes all the fun out of it.) Anyway, I do remember being on the 14th floor, and the view was amazing. And if I'd known the photos would work out this well I'd have taken (a lot) more.

Oh this is a really neat shot, so much detail on the road!!! I also liked the nose cone of the plane with the distorted clouds reflecting off of it.

From nose cones covering the hub of an airplane propeller to oranges to an entire city scape... you just never know what little treasures you are going to find here...

That is AWESOME! I love it! I don't think my camera would DO that even if the operator knew how! LOL! It'd be all blurry....

Was your hotel by chance the Radisson Riverside? That's where I stayed - it was FABULOUS!

A lovely perspective of an urban view.

It totally looks like a hopping place! I remember staying on the 9th floor of . . . the Plaza(?)in Miami for an overnight while a hurricane was coming in! Before I took photos though. :(

As URBAN as it gets around here
