Thematic Photographic 73: "Leaves" v.6.0 - Overgrown

"Looks like grapevine to me."

I almost forgot how I came to take this shot, but it just this minute came to me. I was trying to get material for a TP prompt from last June ("Road") and thought the bridge on Glen Eden Drive that spans the I-440 Beltline might give mem something usable. If memory serves (not a guarantee) I didn' tget anything for the Road prompt, but I did manage to get a few shots of the under/overgrowth around the end of the bridge. Including this shot. I'm not sure what the shrub/bush is, but the vine growing among the leaves there looks suspiciously like grapevine. Wild Scuppernong grapes are quite common in this region, but anybody who's ever had to contend with it will tell you "Don't plant it on purpose unless you really, really mean it!" Because the stuff will try its best to take over everything and it's damn near impossible to kill once it's established. But the leaves are distinctive, and these look a lot like 'em. Well... I supopse it could be Morning Glory too. Anybody wanna weigh in?

I love the angle you chose

This delightful vignette reminds me why nature has always fascinated me so. It's relentless, and it'll do everything it can to sustain itself.

I don't know what it is, but I really like the picture. Does kind of look like grapevine.
