Thematic Photographic 77: "Buildings" v.1.0 - The Halls Are Alive

This week's Thematic Photographic is a layup for me. Buildings are some of my favorite photographic subjects. Sometimes I even know a little about the building in question. This is the "new" music building at UNC Greensboro, where my son spends a lot of his time. Besides housing a basement full of corridors lined with practice rooms, this is also home to that very impressive pipe organ I've featured a number of times. I'm not sure if the round shape of the Organ Hall has anything to do with it or not, but the acoustics in that part of the building are ... quite lively.

nice modern olde worlde look, sort of a no nonsense functional but classical feel to it.

Very interesting building mojo.

I like how this building, while new, tips its hat to the architecture of old. Gotta love that, eh?
